Fallout 4 Settlement Stories

One of the Lady’s favorite pastimes, aside all the things an Empress does in her spare time of course, is playing video games. Video games have been a part of her life for as long as she can remember, which is a very long time indeed. Centuries of ruling ya know, how can one remember everything? So many details…but one detail she does keep is how much she enjoys gaming.

In 2020 at the beginning of the global pandemic, she rediscovered one of her old favorites, Fallout 4, and delighted in exploring the Wasteland once again. She also discovered a large and creative community that had grown up around the settlement building aspect of the game, and inspired by many of the great builders (but especially the teachings of YouTube’s amazing settlement build teacher, SkooledZone), she began making videos about her own builds. With a couple of exceptions, all of her builds are “no-mod” builds, meaning that they are built using only native elements of the game, which makes it a challenge sometimes, but one she is happy to accept.

The delight in making these videos turned to a passion for video editing and she began using Fallout 4 as a means of improving her skill. For each one she creates a story based in the world of Fallout 4, develops a character for each settlement, and has an absolutely wonderful time creating her little movies.

Please enjoy any or all of her tales from the Wasteland!

The Fens Phantom at Murkwater Construction

This time around we take a True Crime approach to another Wasteland tale, that of the legendary Fens Phantom. Hosted by Hailey Carrion (an homage to YouTube’s glorious queen of True Crime, Bailey Sarian), this is a cautionary tale of what can happen when one does not allow children to live their creative dreams…they could grow up to be a serial killer.

The Plastic Flamingo Petting Zoo at Taffington Boathouse

Another build challenge submission, this time for a Tourist Attraction that Wastelanders would come from miles around to see. And so, I give you the Plastic Flamingo Petting Zoo and all the silliness therein. 🦩

Thursday Atoms at Sunshine Tidings Co-op

After being somewhat obsessed by the Netflix series “Wednesday,” I thought I’d create a Wasteland version.

The Mysterious Party Den at Coastal Cottage

For a build challenge that required us to build a residence for one of our companions, but not say or give direct clues as to who the companion is. Can you guess who lives in this den of delights?

Croup Manor House of Horrors

Welcome to Croup Manor, and the home of the elderly and oddly fascinating Brewster Sisters. Descendants of the Brewster family former of Brooklyn, New York, these two offer hospitality…but at what price?

This is my entry for my “Creepy Construction Challenge,” and is a story that is very loosely, but ever so lovingly, based on the play (and the delightful 1944 film starring Cary Grant), “Arsenic and Old Lace.” The two elderly sisters in this version, are descendants of the family that was portrayed in the film and play. And…they have carried on certain family traditions, but in a very Wasteland way. So, grab some popcorn, snuggle in, and I hope you will enjoy this twisted tale!

Spectacle Island Cat-thedral

What do crazy cat ladies do in the post apocalyptic world of Fallout 4? Why, they start a religion, of course! Join Pontifikums Molly Calico as she guides you around the Cat-thedral built in honor of the island’s revered four-legged protector, Saint Felinius.

The Psycho-Nauticals Retreat

We are so happy to welcome you to the Psycho-Nauticals Wellness Center and Retreat, located at the Egret Tours Marina. The retreat was created to help those in the Commonwealth learn to better manage the stress that comes with living in such a hostile environment. Through thoughtful therapy combined with glowing-mushroom enhanced Vault-Tec soda, residents are encouraged to seek the deepest truths within themselves. It is through this process that residents are lovingly guided to a state of Inner Peace that will help them live a much more fulfilling life despite all the weirdness going on around them in their daily lives.

The Haunted Treasure Chamber:

This was the first Fallout 4 video that Lady Imperatrix put together for her Fallout 4 series. Gather your courage and take a tour of her Haunted Treasure Chamber located at the Mechanist’s Lair build area. It is a dark and mysterious place, but a lot of fun to wander around in nonetheless. Just watch out for the fire pits and maybe think twice before sitting the ghoul chairs.

It was created for the SkooledZone Halloween Build Contest. She was thrilled to make it to the top 5 out of all the entries for the contest, and made some wonderful Fallout Friends at the same time. This video is not in story form, but a straightforward tour of a build. A tour done in our Lady’s distinct style though, of course. 🙂
